A Survey: the Theoretical Study of Differential Rotation Between Layers Inside the Earth

On the study of differential rotation between layers inside the earth therepresented various hypotheses and among these the hypothesis, it is "Inner Fast and OuterSlow" that has recently evolved into an increasingly accepted theory, and moreover, it isverified by data obtained from sicentific obervation. In the process of the formation of "Inner Fast and Outer Slow" theory, mathematicians concerned have also made their indispensable contribution. Their contribution lies in the discovery that differential rotationinner fast and outer slow consitututes the initial power for the various motions inside theearth. The mathematicians' work also helps us to interpret various geologic phenomenaand to advance researches in energy accumulation and release inside the earth, in understanding the relationship between geologic cycle and astronomical period, and in global climate change.
