Temperature Field of In-service Welding of Stainless Steel Pipes

Temperature field of in-service welding was measured by thermal-couples and simulated by FEM.The material property change with the temperature,the convection and radiation boundary conditions were considered.The effect of internal flowing media on temperature field was defined as a forced boundary condition.The numerical simulated and experimental results accord with each other.It can be concluded that the temperature field of in-service welding can be simulated accurately by FEM.
