Development of Electron Beam Cold Hearth Melting Technology for Titanium Alloys

Titanium alloys are widely applied in many fields due to their high specific strength, good high temperature properties and corrosion resistance. The research development of titanium alloys melting technology is summarized. The process principle and advantages of the electron beam cold hearth melting technology, the research development of the removal of high, low density inclusion and the control of A1 volatilization are introduced.
