Research on Ceramic-lined Coating Prepared by Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis

The ceramic coating was prepared in the steel tube by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis technique.The microstructure and properties of the coating were analyzed.The results show that the coating is orderly corundum ceramic layer and intermediate layer with iron mainly from inside to outside.The microscopic structures of the coating are branch crystalline structure;the white phase is Al2O3 and the black phase is Fe and the synthesis phase of Fe and Al.The fracture of the coating is laminated structure;and there are stomata or crack in the sheet layers interface.The fracture is flat,cleavage steps,and brittle fracture.The bonding strength of the coating is high and the impact corrosion performance is excellent.
