Theory and Technology of Grain Refinement of Cast Magnesium Alloy

Coarse-grain microstructure is one of the main factors restricting mechanical properties of cast magnesium alloys. Grain refinement can effectively improve the mechanical properties and forming properties of magnesium alloy castings. Study on influence factors and control methods of grain refinement of cast magnesium alloy has always been a hot topic. Based on the research status in China and other countries,the theoretical model of the grain refinement of cast metal was elaborated, and the latest research results in grain refinement of cast magnesium alloys were summarized.
