Microstructure Characteristics of Martensite in Laser Welded Joint of YG20/45 Steel

The laser butt welding of 2 mm and 3 mm thick YG20 cemented carbide and 45 steel was carried out without filling material. After welding, the welded joints were sampled, the microstructure of the welded joints was observed by SEM,and the cause of martensite formation was analyzed.
