THE PRELIMINARY STUDY OF GENE DIFFERENTIAL EXPRESSION DURING NERVE GROWTH WITH THE EFFECT OF "NERVE REGENERATION FACTOR

To explore the molecular mechanism of the effect of "Nerve Regeneration Factor" upon nerve growth. Differential display PCR(dd PCR) was used to detect the different gene expression level of two groups of cultured cells from dorsal root ganglia(DRG), one treated with "Nerve Regeneration Factor" and the other not. The differential cDNA fragments were screened primarily by reverse hybridization, subsequently cloned and sequenced, then further confirmed by Northern blot. Eight differential fragments were obtained. Comparing these sequence to data from GenBank showed that one was completely homologous to RRAJ5161(proliferating correlative gene), one to AF196315(small zinc finger like protein DDP2), and two other fragments showed partial homology to AK001757 and STA5SRR(lysyl tRNA synthetase) respectively. This study indicates "Nerve Regeneration Factor" plays an important role in regulating gene expression during stimulating nerve growth.
