Advances in the Study on Insect Resistance of Trees in China in the Recent 10 Years

Insect pest occurred in Chinas plantations .Since 1990s,Wide study on controlling insect pests of forest with insect resistant trees was made.This paper reviews the research achievements about insect resistance of trees: 1.Research on the definition and classification system and expression of insect resistance of trees. 2.Research on the insect attractance and insect resistance of trees by biophysics and biochemistry. 3.Effect of nutrients (Sugar,Fat, Amino acid, Starch,N/C) or toxin (tannic, Phenoi) in the tree on resistance to insect pest. 4.Research on the ability in endurance damaged of trees. 5.Research on the structure of plantation and the damage caused by insect pest. 6.Research on the use of insect pest resistance of tree.
