Facial expression recognition based on Gabor wavelets transform

The method of facial expression recognition based on Gaborwavelets transformis discussed. Image pre-processingis to improve the accuracy of follow-up processing. With the analysis of the advantage of two-dimensional Gabor transform and the movement of facial expression, the methods based on two-dimensional Gabor transform for feature extraction and elastic model matching algorithm for training and recognition arediscussed. Comparedwiththe conventional methods, experimental results demonstratethatthis methodhasbetterrobust and higher recognition accuracy.
