The Crisis Normality of Literary Criticism: Interpretation of “Crisis of Literary Crificism” from 1932 to 1933

KANG Jianwei;School of Humanities, Gansu University of Political Science and Law;
In his later years, Mao Dun, a famous Chinese writer, mentioned the crisis of literary criticism in the early 1930 s, which involved the struggle for dominant discourse power by the camps representing different political demands, the correction and purification of the left-wing literary criticism campaign, the crisis of literary creation as well as the implied crisis of literary theory. There were similar discussions on "crisis" in the 1930 s and some of them became the hot topic at that time. However, these discussions "turned out to be fruitless". The topics on crisis of literary crisis were put forward repeatedly, which precisely reflects the "reflexivity" of theory from the perspective of paradigm transformation. The phenomenon can be regarded as the normal existence of literary criticism, that's, the crisis normality of literary criticism.
