A THEORETICAL STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF CAPILLARY PRESSURE OF POROUS MEDIA ON THE PHASE STATE OF A CONDENSATE

On the basis of the conventional phase analysis, this paper suggests a new theoretical modelof the phase state of a condensate taking the effect of capillary pressure of a porous mediuminto consideration, and a corresponding simulator is established. A comparison of the resultsobtained with those from a simulated dew points calculation and actual data reported in SPEpaper 20180 shows the feasibilty of this simulator. A sample calculation using t.his simulatordemonstrates the effect of capillary pressure of a porous media on the phase diagram of a condensate and the saturation of retrograded liquid condensate during an isothermal flash process.
