Synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy study for aromatic hydrocarbon in petroleum samples.

Synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy is obtained by scanning the excitation and emission monochromators simultaneously. The key of the technique is the truth of samples and the choice of the best Δ λ value (the interval of wavelength between excitation and emission). According to spectra we may determine the property and judge the material origination of crude oil. This method can be used not only in distincting the difference between the samples from abnormal and background areas and predicting oil and gas layers, but also in the comparison of oil to oil and oil to source, and studying what oil and gas stemmed from.
