Effects of different mixed vegetable oils levels on the content of conjugated linoleic acid in beef of Yanbian yellow cattle

According to different levels of mixed vegetable oil added in the diets of Yanbian yellow cattle,the effects of the content of conjugated linoleic acid(CLA) in beef was discussed.Single-factor random block design was used,16 healthy Yanbian yellow cattles (bulls) with similar weight were selected,and alloted randomly into four groups by weight,four cattle per group.Control group was fed basal diets,experiment groups were fed basal diets supplemented with 4 %,5 % and 6 % mixed vegetable oil.Experiment period was 88 d.Mixed vegetable oil containd 55 % soybean oil,25 % safflower oil and 20 % sunflower oil.The results showed:Compared with the control,conjugated linoleic acid(c9,t11 CLA) in beef of 4 %,5 % and 6 % vegetable oil groups increased by 275 %,287.5 %,325 %(P 0.05).The content of conjugated linoleic acid(t10,c12 CLA) in test groups were higher than that of the control,but there were no remarkable differences(P 0.05).Linoleic acid(C18∶2) and the content of linolenic acid(C18∶3) in beef were remarkablely higher than that of the control(P 0.01),linoleic acid content of 4 %,5 %,6 % vegetable oil groups increased 52.38 %,41.74 %,46.50 % than that of the control,the content of linolenic acid were increased by 105.88 %,47.06 %,46.50 % than that of the control.The content of oleic acid(C18∶1) of experiment group was higher than that of the control,but there were no differences(P 0.05).The content of unsaturated fatty acid in experiment group were higher than that of the control group,and had a trend to increase with the increase of vegetable oil additive level,the content of unsaturated fatty acid in 6 % vegetable oil group was significantly increased compared with that of the control(P 0.05).Saturated fatty acid content in every experiment group was higher than that of the control,but the difference wasn’t remarkable(P 0.05).
