Study on the Modification of Polypropylene through Melt-grafting

It studied the properties of polypropylene(PP) melt grafted with different monomers to be composed in the multi-component system by means of melt-grafting method.The results showed that under the conditions of the same comonomer styrene,initiator and PP,the polarity of grafted PP was stronger than that of PP,the grafting ratio were different with different monomers,and the processabilities of grafted PP with different MFR were different.The polarities of grafted PP increased successively in sequence of the grafting monomers——MAH,MMA and GMA.The analysis results of polarizing microscope showed the generation of branch chain can enhance the heterogeneous nucleation of PP,and can make grains refine.
