Study on Crystallization and Rheological Properties of PP/La_2O_3 Composites

PP/La2O3 composites were prepared by blending methods with polypropylene and lanthanum oxide. The effect of the La2O3 content on the crystal and rheological properties of PP/La2O3 was studied. The results show that La2O3 has a distinct nucleation effect on PP, and the relative crystallinity of the composite improves. The melt apparent viscosity of PET/La2O3 decreases with the increasing of temperature and shear rate, and decreases first and then increases with the increasing content of the La2O3. The Non-newtonian index increases with the increasing of temperature and increases first and then decreases with the increasing content of the La2O3. The viscous flow activation energy decreases with the increasing of shear rate, and it shows a downward as a whole with the increase of the content of La2O3.
