1-D consolidation analysis of saturated soil with semi-pervious boundaries under cyclie loads

Based on Terzaghi's 1 D consolidation theory, the consolidation problem of saturated soils with semi perivous boundary under cyclic load is solved by means of Laplace transform. Influences of different kinds of cyclic loads, boundary conditions and parameters of soil on consolidation are discussed. with numerical inversion of Laplace Transform. some results are illustrated, which are meaningful to engineering practice.
