Nuclear matrix attachment regions and transgene expression in plants

Matrix-attachment regions (MARs) have been identified that it can increase levelsof transgene expression and reduce transformant-to-transfomant variat ion of transgene expressionin both plants and animals. Some characteristics of MARs and the effects it have had on thetransgene expression in plants have been reviewed. At the same time, the effects of MARs ontransgene expression in animals and the impossible mechanism were also introduced.
