Optimization of Extraction Technology of Pectin from Brassica oleacea Stems and Leaves

The HCl extraction of pectin from Brassica oleacea stems and leaves was studied.The effects of pH,extraction temperature,extraction time on the pectin extraction were investigated.Through single factor and orthogonal tests,the optimized extraction condition was obtained as follows: the pH of 2.0,the extraction temperature of 85 ℃ and the extraction time of 80 min.Under this condition,the extraction rate of pectin is 0.69%.
