Study on inclusive reaction of anisaldehyde and citral with modified β-cyclodextrin

The inclusive reaction of anisaldehyde or citral with β-cyclodextrin(β-CD) modified by hydroxypropylated process was investigated.Influencing factors of the inclusive reaction have been studied.The results showed that the optimum conditions of the inclusive reaction were as follows:water dosage was 15mL/g modified β-CD,mole ratio of modified β-CD to anisaldehyde or citral was 1:1,inclusive reaction time was 90min.Under these conditions,about 98% anisaldehyde or citral was inclusived by modified β-CD.The product was the inclusion complex of modified β-CD and anisaldehyde or citral,which was determined by ultraviolet spectrometry,thin player chromatography and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.Modified β-CD had a higher inclusion ability to anisaldehyde or citral comparing with β-CD.
