PREPARATION OF ACID-EXTRACTION METHODS AND PROPERTIES OF SOY HULL PECTIN

Using orthogonal experiments and the variance analysis, an optimal method of extracting pectin from soybean hull was established. The results show that it is soaking the mixture of dried soybean hull and HCl solution(pH=2.5) at ratio(mass: volume) of 1:12 and extracting at the constant temperature of 95℃ for 50min. The prepared soybean hull pectin is low DE value and has low molecular weight(6.65×104) and low solubility(average 2.41g/dm3). Loss on drying, total ash content and pH of pectin solution meet the needs of GBn246-85.
