Review of the research on sweeteners

JIANG Bin,FENG Zhi-biao(Department of Applied Chemistry,Northeast Agricultural University,Harbin 150030)  
Sweetener is one of the most important food additives that are widely used in many kinds of food.The current situation and developing trends of sweeteners are reviewed.The primary problems in the developing and application of sweeteners especially of high intensity sweeteners were analyzed,the trend is to develop the sweeteners with high sweetness or trophic sweeteners with no calorie.
