Effect of postharvest physiological index by chemical inducer treatment on cold storage melon

Through the chemical inducer treatment postharvest,peroxidase activity(POD) and respiration rate and membrane permeability and total soluble solids(TSS) and hardness of Xinjiang Hami melon in storage were assayed.It was show that postharvest treatment by BTH,SA and CaCl2 can hold down the respiration rate;show that postharvest treatment by CaCl2 can keep the melon high hardness;show that postharvest treatment by BTH,SA and CaCl2 can enhance peroxidase activity(POD) of fruit.
