The study was aimed to detect hypolipidemic function of Auricularia polytricha fruiting bodies, which were available in our lab, and cultured them for fruiting bodies as the research objects. By the two batches of experiments in vivo, the results showed the Auricularia polytricha polysaccharide with dose of 900 mg/kg·d could reduce the content of cholesterol in blood. The effect of hypolipidemic function reached 26.8% compared with control after 15 days treatments without affecting animal weight and food intake. It was found that Auricularia polytricha polysaccharide could decrease the levels of cholesterol, triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in blood with dose-dependent. The hypolipidemic function of Auricularia polytricha polysaccharide could be studied in further and develop in health supplement processing area.
