Ejina oasis, located in the lower reach of Heihe River basin, was selected for the case study. The characteristics and types of the landscape were analyzed.By using the information of landscape ecology in 1980s and 1990s,the indices such as Dominance,Diversity,Homogeneity,Fragmentation and Separation were chosen to analyze the resources conditions. The landscape ecological functions were evaluated. The results show that, the river corridors are the most important ecological flow in the arid desert oasis and their changes are the drive power resulted in the variation of landscape patterns.
