The improved model of plant ecological field and the case analyzing

Ecological field theory(EFT) is a basic theory of physical ecology derived from the thought of field theory concepts in physics.EFT studies the interaction among neighboring plants located at a distance from each other using modes of deductive thought and relative strict quantitative,synthetic and intuitionistic models.EFT has meaning of ecological methodology.The key problem of EFT is to establish a reasonable ecological field model.Two main techniques are used to simulate plant growth dynamically as CTM(Continuous-time Markov) and IRM(Integrated rate methodology).Two concepts were given from the point of view of physics in this paper: ecological field intensity and ecological potential of plant ecological field.This study improved models of ecological field intensity and ecological potential and the influence domain of field source.This paper expounded the materiality of plant ecological field,which is the basic character of EFT and established several models about the materiality, such as energy,momentum and so on.The author investigated the ecological field behavior of Ulmus pumila individual applying the improved plant ecological field models.A 12m~2 plot in semi-humid and semi-arid Ulmus woodland was sampled for soil,microclimate and plant characteristics,and soil water content,soil total nitrogen,ray radiation intensity and net photosynthetic rate of U.pumila were determined.The experimental results were summarized as the followings: Within the influence domain of U.pumila individual,the effect on the growth of other plants was favorable at the begining,and then adverse as the distance to the field source-U.pumila increasing.The results of soil layer analysis were that the competition between U.pumila and other plants was weak in the shallow layer soil(0~0.2m),while from 0.2m to 0.4m under the soil there was a minimum value of ecological field intensity,which indicating the resource competition was strong.The influence domain of U.pumila individual reached the maximum value in the surface soil.As increasing soil depth the influence domain of U.pumila individual declined.The influence domain reached the minimum value in the forth soil layer(0.3~0.4m),then increased lightly despite the deeper soil.There was a inverse relation between the improved model of ecological potential and ecological field intensity,so the results of ecological potential of U.pumila individual were inversing to ecological field intensity.In course of applying the improved models and analyzing the results,the improved models display some advantages: the format of models is intuitionistic so ecologist accepts them easily,they can describe synthetic ecological questions,these models have higher precision and the improved models are facility manipulate in practice.Using these improved models of EFT can interpret and solve some ecological problems in the field of plant distribution pattern,competition and resources utilization.
