The regulation mechanism of endogenous opioid peptide in pain

Endogenous Opioid Peptide(EOP),as an important neurotransmitter,has many biological effects in body,especially during the process of delivering and regulating the information of pain.All the findings open the possibility for developing new therapeu- tic treatment.In this article,we make a summary mainly about the distribution and constitution of EOP in nervous system,the characteris- tic of opioid receptor and the mechanism of pain control.
