Objective: To Investigate the effects of bronchoscopic cryotherapy on endobronchial tuberculosis (EBTB) narrowness. Methods: Cryotherapy combined with chemotherapy were performed on seventy-eight EBTB patients through bronchofibroscope, and their efficacy was assessed. Results: Seventy-eight patients with EBTB were treated by bronchoscopic cryotherapy. 70 patients were suffered with inflammatory, granulomatous and ulcerative EBTB, and after treatment their intraluminal lesions and the clinical symptoms improved dramatically and atelectasis or obstructive pneumonia disappeared. However, there were no significant efficacies in 8 patients with cicatricial EBTB after treated by bronchoscpic cryotherapy. Conclusion: Bronchoscopic cryotherapy is an effective and safe method treating patients with EBTB.
