Influence of PCI Treatment on Left Ventricular Remodeling and Systolic Function in Patients with Myocardial Infarction

Objective: To study the influence of percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) treatment on left ventricular remodeling and systolic function in patients with myocardial infarction. Methods: A total of 60 patients with myocardial infarction, who underwent PCI treatment in Kaifeng Second People's Hospital of Henan Province from December 2009 to December 2014, were selected(as study group,n=60), and 60 patients with angina, who underwent PCI treatment in the same period(as control group, n=60). The left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV), end-systolic volume(LVESV), stroke volume(SV), left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end-systolic pressure(LVESP) and left ventricular end-diastolic pressure(LVEDP) of the two groups before and after treatment were compared. Results: The LVEDV, LVESV, SV, LVEF, LVESP and LVED of the study group after treatment were significantly better than before treatment, the differences were statistically significant(P0.05), while there was no statistical significance in the LVEDV, LVESV, SV, LVEF, LVESP and LVED of the control group between before and after treatment(P0.05). Conclusion: PCI treatment has a good effect for patients with myocardial infarction, which can significantly improve the left ventricular remodeling and systolic function.
