DETERMINATION OF ~(36)CI AGES FOR GROUNDWATER WITH ACCELERATOR MASS SPECTROMETRY(AMS)

The sampliog method and the requirement of sample preparation are preseoted. An accelerator mass spcctrometry (AMS) system based on the HI-13 tandem accelerator of the Institute of Atomic Energy (TAE) is described, and the result of determination of ~(36)Cl with AMS system is reported. Finally, the principle of calculation of ~(36)Cl ages of groundwater is shown.
