Kinetic Study on Ethanol Batch Fermentation with Thermotolerant Yeast

The batch fermentation of ethanol was studied with the thermotolerant yeast.By varying the substrate concentration,the best range of substrate concentration,16~20 %(wt),was obtained.The parameters of the selected kinetic models were got by fitting the experimental data.The results indicate that with the increase of substrate concentration,the maximal relative rate μmax decreased linearly which could be described as μ_(max)=0.3161-4.1820×10~4s(100s280g/L),and the dynamic parameters of α and γ decreased while β and η increased.
