Study on Immbilization of α-amylase from Bacillus am yloliqusfaciens

Partiaily purif a-amylase from Bacillus amyloliqusfaciens was entrapped within calcivm-alginate beads. Characteristics and properties of the immobilization enzyme compared withthose of solube enzymes are also discussed. The immobilized enzyme showed marked improvement in thermal stability and storage stability. The enzyme activity attaind its maximum at 60℃ for soluble and 70℃ for immobilizal enzyme.
