Monocellular Quantitative Analysis of Cell Adhesion by a Micromanipulation Technique

Zhou Xiangdon et al (Department of Respiration, Depin Hospital. Chongqing)  
A micromanipulation technique was used to determine the adhesive ability of polymorphonucler neutrophil(PMN) to vascular endothelial cell (VEC). The adhesive ability was showed by critical seperation stress (Sc) between PMN and VEC. The results showed that the Sc of rest PMN to VEC was 0. 27 ±0. 03 104dyn/cm2. The Sc was maximal within 30 minutes during PMN activating course, and had no tendency to increase continuously with activating time prolonged.
