HPT-mCherry Fusion Marker in Rice Genetic Screening and Identi fication

Objective:To accelerat the transgenic screening process, the visualized label, a HPT-mCherry fusion marker was applied in this study.Methods:The plasmid with HPT-mCherry was introduced into japonica rice via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. Red fluorescence was detected in transgenic callus and transgenic plants through fluorescence microscope.Results:The study indicated that HPT-mCherry fusion marker can be used as a double-function marker to idedtify transgienc plants. The function of HPT and mCherry has less affections on each other.Conclusion:The system based on HPT-mCherry fusion marker presented a high-efficient on transgen ic material screening and identification.
