ANALYSIS ON SPECIFIC PROPERTIES OF DISTORTIONPRODUCT OTOACOUSTIC EMISSIONS FOR FULL-TERM NEWBOENS

An analysis on specific properties of distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAEs) for full-term newborns is presented in this paper. 1. The DP-gram of newborns show two peaks at 1.6 and 5.0 kHz, as well as one trough at 3.1~4.0 kHz. 2. The background noise and its property for DPOAEs, the background noise is the highest at measurement frequency point as f2=1.0 kHz, the background noise is lower at measurement frequency point as f2=3.1, 4.0 and 5.0 kHz. DPOAEs background noise and its response intensity do not display linear correlation except for f2=4.0 kHz. 3. DPOAEs SNR is minimum as f2=1.0 kHz (P=0.000), SNR is maximum as f2=2.0 kHz (P0.003). 4. There are evident linear correlations between DPOAEs SNR and TEOAEs SNR except for f2=1.0 kHz.
