Effect of salinity on the growth and survival of the different ageindays Sepiella japonicalarvae

The weight gain rate(WGR) and survival rate(SR) of Sepiella japonica larvae(1,7 and 15 days old) at different salinities(10,15,20,25,30,35,and 40) were studied.The results showed that the SR and WGR of Sepiella japonica larvae increased with the salinity went up simultaneously as the salinity between 10 and 25,but when the salinity exceeded a certain point,the SR and WGR went down as the salinity increased.The range of optimum salinity was between 20 and 30,but there were some difference between the 1,7,15 age olds.The salinity tolerability of 15-day olds cuttlefish larvae was better than the 1-day olds and 7-day olds.The best salinity of Sepiella japonica larvae was around 25,with highest growth rate and survival rate.
