Comparative Study on Wind Farm Equivalent Modeling Based on Operation Data

This paper presents a comparative study on the two ways of the equivalent modeling of the wind farm,namely the traditional method and the one based upon the operation data.It explores the causes oferrors in the traditional method-totting-up of the output of single wind turbine generator and then studies the proposed new method-equivalent modeling based upon the operation data.The result ofthe studyindicates that the latter method is more in conformity with the actual site conditions.However,it remains a question to be solved that howto deal with the relationship between the complication of the operation parameters and the simplification ofthe equivalent modelingsoas toattain the equivalent effectas wellas satisfythe requirements for the simulation precision.
