Application of Self-Check Adaptive Optimal Time-Frequency Distribution in Analyzing Harmonics in Power Systems

In order to obtain reasonable and precise results in analyzing harmonics,a novel method based on self-check adaptive optimal time-frequency distribution is introduced to analyze harmonics.Firstly,the adaptive kernel parameter selection method is applied(the practical kernel parameter selection is analyzed at the same time) to realize separation of auto-components and cross-components in the ambiguity domain and ensure the optimal time-frequency distribution of auto-components.Secondly,the auto-search function is applied to extract single time-frequency spectrum of each signal component,which represents characterization of each signal component,and effectively improve the resolution and readability of the signal time-frequency information,and realize accurate extraction of the harmonic parameters.The simulation and example analysis suggest that the method proposed in this paper is effective.
