Study on springback for TRIP-aided steel sheet

The quality of springback prediction for a sheet metal forming process depends on a precise material model.For steels exhibiting TRIP(Transformation-Induced Plasticity) effect,the conventional finite elements simulation low quality prediction because of not considering the influence of the TRIP effect on the elastoplastic properties during deformation.In this study,an enhanced elastic-plastic constitutive equation taking account of strain induced transformation and the effect of transformation on complex internal state variables is developed.The variation of the elastic modulus with the martensitic transformation during stamping is also considered to improve the accuracy of springback simulation for TRIP steel.The quality of the numerical simulation is evaluated through a comparison with the conventional finite elements and experimental results.The enhanced material model is testified very efficient in accurately predict springback for TRIP steels.
