Finite Element Analysis of Cylindrical Parts at Forced Spinning

Power spinning of cylindrical parts is an important productive technological process in modern industry. In this paper, A rigid-plastic FEM modelling is put forward for plane deformation. Velocity fields,effective strain rate distributions and effective strain distribusions are obtained of both forward spinning and backward spinning in rigid -plastic FEM. There's a good agreement between the plastic flow modelling of FEM and the experimental grid distortion patterns.
