The soil around gold mine in tongguan county was chosen as the research object, and the contents of heavy metal including manganese, copper, zinc and lead were determined, the theoretical basis for establishing the man-made ecological restoration system was provided. The results show that the contents of lead are all very high in all sample regions, and copper is second, and manganese is lower than others as far as the national background value is concerned. The variation coefficients of all heavy metal are the highest in the four sample region. The distribution characteristics of four kinds of heavy metals are similar,it may be caused the same or similar pollution sources.
