A survey of status quo of compliance on doctor's advise behaviors in type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus patients

Objective: to know about the compliance on doctor's advise behaviors in type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus (DM) patients. Method: a total of 100 outpatients with type Ⅱ DM were investigated on status quo of compliance on doctor's advise behaviors via filling out self-made questionnaires in Puren hospital. Result: the rate of compliance on doctor's advice behaviors in patients with pre-meal blood sugar ≤7.0 mmol/L was higher than that of patients with pre-meal blood sugar 7.0 mmol/L, including medication, diet control, keeping on exercising, regular monitoring of blood sugar(P0.01). Conclusion: Nursing staff should help type Ⅱ DM patients to establish or improve the compliance on doctor's advise behaviors by providing health education, so as to slow down the occurrence of complications, reduce their medical cost, and enhance the living quality for them.
