The Genetic Basis of Maize Resistant to MRDV and Study on Its Rotational Selection

The character of inbred line of maize resistant to maize rough dwerf virus disease (MRDV)were improved by objectively rotational selection, not only the disease-resistance of maize inbred lines could be increased, but alse so did the resistant level for its hybrid. The character of maise resistant toMRDV is quantitative character that is tinder polygenic contuol with small effect. In general, the resistant genes of inbred lines are not full isozygoty, which is the basis of disease-resistance improvement. Theprocess of objectively rotational selection for maize inbred lines is the process that small effect, genesresistant to the disease are quantitatvely increased.
