Finite element analysis and optimization of automotive engine suspension system's bracket

Based on Topology Optimization of the Altair Hyperworks,a bracket in the automotive engine suspension system was studied in this paper.HyperWorks9.0 was taken as analysis tool.The objective of this study was to reduce the stress at critical locations of the bracket and obtain the optimized bracket structure.With the experimental outcome,the bracket was optimized further.Numerical results show that the finally optimized bracket can meet the requirement quite well.
