The Merits and Faults of Civil Strives in the Jin State

Jin suffered frequent civil strives during the 600 years since its establishment, which can be devided into two periods. In the early period, the civil strives forced the Emperors, such as Wen Hou, Xian Gong and Wen Gong to reform continuously, which made Jin state a treat power in the North of China. In the later period, the civil strives led to the power expansion of some individuals, and ultimately caused the extinction of the Jin state.
