Experimental Study on the Effect of Cold Nature Medicine on Body Status

Objective to study the effects of cold nature Chinese medicine on normal animal body status.Methods 24male SD rats,divided into cold nature medicine group,the control group.The cold nature medicine group were perfused with cold nature medicine(Coptis,Scutellaria,Phellodendron 1:1:1),we observed the general signs;radioimmunoassay for three triiodothyronine(T3),thyroxine(T4),anti- three triiodothyronine(rT3),corticosterone / corticosterone(CORT),cyclic phosphate adenosine(cAMP),cyclic guanosine monophosphate(cGMP);17- hydroxy corticosteroids ultraviolet spectrophotometry(17- OHCS),blood glucose(GLU),glycerin three fat(TG),total cholesterol(TC),total protein(TP),albumin(ALB),uric acid(UA) alanine aminotransferase(GPT),aspartate aminotransferase(GOT),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),creatinine(CRE),immunoglobulin M(IgM),immunoglobulin uG(IgG),complement C3,complement C4.Results compared with the control group,the cold medicine group rats showed activity decline,rectal temperature decreased significantly;the serum levels of T3,CORT content decreased,17- OHCS content decreased;the plasma levels of cAMP,cAMP / cGMP decreased.Indicators of changes in metabolism and liver and kidney function is not obvious.Conclusion cold nature medicine effect on normal body,can make the animal weight,thyroid,adrenal cortical hypofunction,similar to the clinical deficiency status,and embodies the characteristics of traditional Chinese cold nature medicine make the body lose yang qi.
