Keyhole approach for resection of tuberculum sellae meningiomas

Objective To evaluate the effect of keyhole approach for resection of tuberculum sellae meningiomas.MethodsTuberculum sellae meningiomas were removed in 25 patients by supraorbital or pterional keyhole approaches.The surgical technique,effect and complications were discussed.ResultsOf 25 patients,21 had total resection,and 4 had subtotal resection.Nobody died during surgery.Surgical complications were found in 3 patients.ConclusionKeyhole approach is safe and effective to remove smaller tuberculum sellae meningiomas.
