IN-HOUSE EVALUATION OF HORIZONTAL-WELL FORMATION DAMAGE

On the basis of the horizontal-well characteristics, the in-house method of evaluating formation damage was set up by calculating its flow efficiency. The mathematical regression model based on experimental data was established to calculate the radius of the affected zone around the borehole. The skin factor can be calculated by using this model and core sample permeability determinations before and behind contamination by drilling fluids core. The paper introduces the structure and application of the portable dynamic high-temperature and high-pressure dynamic filtration press. The formation damage of the Nu MH-01 horizontal-well in Dagang Oilfield was systematically estimated by using this method.
