PRESSURE DROP OF VARIABLE MASS FLOW IN HORIZONTAL PERFORATED WELL BORE

A new method for coupling linear flow in porous media (steady and unsteady) and nonlinear turbulent flow in horizontal well bore was presented. The pseudo-three-dimension principles and model were applied to hydrodynamics analysis of variable mass flow in the well bore. The interaction of the main flow and inflow of perforated well were discussed. The result indicates that the variable mass flow has bigger pressure drop than the turbulence flow in round pipe and has a concave section of velocity. The perforate design for horizontal well should be optimized with the coupling simulation of seepage flow and inflow of well bore.
