MICRO-SEDIMENTARY FACIES AND DIAGENESIS OF THE LOWER TERTIARY IN LIAODONG BAY

Liaodong bay has the structural frame works with sags and highs of NNEdirection,and has the evolutional characterization of faulted basin。Its basement rocks aremetamorphic rocks of Archaeozoic and Volcanics of Mesozoic,From bottom to top, itsformational sequcnce is Sha- 3.Sha- 2and Sha- 1Members of Shahejie Formation andDongying Formation。Liaodong Bay consists of seven sedimentarv facies:lacus delta,fandelta,sublacustrine.gravity flow channels.carbonate platform and storm facies.which canbe summarized into nine deposition systems。Depth controls diagenesis which can control thedistribution of reservoir. The result of the study indicates that not only different structuralbeIts but also different uplift blocks in the same structural belts have different diageneticdepth。
