DSA Appearances and Chemoembolization of Hepatoma with Arterioportal Shunt

Objective:To explore the appearances of DSA and methods of transcatheter hepatic artery chemoembolization (THACE)of hepatoma with arterioportal shunt(APS).Methods:THACE was performed in 95 patients with hepatoma comfired by AFP,ultrasound and CT.DSA was done in all patients.Results:46 patients had APS(48.4%),of them,17 patients had portal vein tumor thrombus(PVTT).After therapy AFP was decreased in all cases,the tumors were smaller in 27 (58.7%),bigger in 12(26.1%),7 cases were the same in size before and after THACE.No serious dysfunction of liver due to the treatment were happened.Conclusion:The detection of APS by DSA is accurate and direct.The therapeatic effect of hepatic cancer is influenced by APS. [
